Suck it or Fuck it
I know, I know... I'm a day late but I promise you, I was doing fun things that it was worth it to miss only the second day.
Today's "challenge" was also a little difficult to courage up to. Had me thinking, "fuck, everything I've done HAS been done before. I've got nothing."
Of course that was a lie but I didn't realize it yet.
TODAY'S CHALLENGE:
3. It’s been done already
Emulating and taking from other artists early on as you develop a style and a voice is perfectly fine, in my view. But don’t expect people to fall head over heels for your stuff if it isn’t original.
If you've looked around the website, I have a section labeled "sourmouthsweetheart". This was a little piece of me that wishes she could do cute graffiti like these lovely ladies and gents (so, star, mynx, leaf, and so many more). But of course, I'm too paranoid or cautious because I'm nearing 30 and can't get away with much when it comes to public vandalization. The inability to use a spray can was then turned into sweet and sour doodles and words on post it notes or sketchbooks. My passive aggressive way of responding to the boys and girls and everything in between troubles of life. It's nasty written beautifully. It's strong words coming from a caring heart. It's having a sour mouth but sweet heart.
ANYWAYS. This style I feel is something I don't think I've seen other people do. There could be similarities but this is all from me. I've taken anything and everything I've learned from other artists and made it my own. So therefore, it's an original? Ah, fuck it.
TODAYS DRAWING:
Hint from today's title, this is Suck It or Fuck It. Really, it's all about how you feel. We all have Suck It or Fuck It moments. Suck it happens when you're faced with a challenge and it's sooo fucking difficult but you overcome that challenge with perseverance, so SUCK IT hard challenge! These moments can be big or small only as long as it was a challenge and you kept trying.
Fuck it moments happen when that challenge is sooo fucking difficult and you're pretty fucking confident you won't get past it no matter how skilled, how studied, or how prepared you are. There's no turning back now so, fuck it and you go in knowing you'll probably fail (or win?!) but you'll fail (or win!) with a strong fight. Again, these moments can be big or small.
It started with a "suck it", really... then I noticed after penning it also looks like "fuck it"... so FUCK ITTT.
Heh, maybe I am pretty original :P
I hope you had a good fuck it moment today and told it to suck it when you kicked it's ass!

P.S. I looked back at the list and realized I was a number ahead so like a dork, I thought of day 3 before even doing day 2. Day 2 will happen tomorrow!
